  • Phase 2--focus has changed to the Dell Mini's since people have enjoyed using them, and they are getting more use even then the classroom solutions
    • waiting to see what happens with the next school bond which might outfit all rooms anyway
  • We will be getting two new solutions as part of the school districts' matching funds grant (which require money be spend on classroom solutions):
    • 1) to go to Mr. Schnably (last person from previous round of proposals who did not get one)
    • The other one going to social studies teachers with preference to 7th grade in main building (not to 6th because because the school district will not insure equipment in PODS and we would rather not see our own money possibly get stolen)
    • All proposals for solutions will be read at June SIT meeting--so Social Studies teachers and anyone interested in a future acquisition, please apply
  • SIT MVP's:
    • 1)  CONGRATULATIONS to Lisha Vannoy & Joanna Palmer for their work with the "Jefferson's got talent show" and fund raiser for Japan!

John Downs:  Computer technology End of year procedures.
  • We reviewed the form to be used when checking out the Dell Mini Cart--this is necessary because of the two laptops that have gone missing.
    • This form should be used for every class that uses the Dell Mini's and important to take a count before and after EVERY class--this is how we have tracked down the missing ones that have been stolen.
  • For year end procedure, please review Mr. Down's Year End Technology check list WEBSITE
    • Focus on--getting website summer ready--several resources on my page including:
      • reading lists

  • 7th and 8th grade report to separate sites immediately following announcements
Thanks to all the support!!

Clarification: (sent by e-mail from Candi

applies to ALL of you as an administrator for separate settings.

"Because you have students with specific modifications which can not necessarily be grouped with other students who only need extended time, your students should continue working until either all have finished or I make an announcement to end the testing session.  I will be checking on separate testing sites to see the progress towards finishing in these separate settings, allowing you opportunity to give students a five minute warning for an upcoming break.  Upon an extended break, like for lunch, students will not be allowed to returned to the section they were working on prior to the break.  (This is highlighted in your TAM.)  This section will be paper clipped prior to the break.

Upon approaching the 11:00-11:15 time period, I will call for test administrators to collect all materials to turn in and then have students gather in the media center to determine groupings and breaks for lunch."

Francis:
Pe Locks,  if you need to see who has not turned in all their locks, just go to teacher resources, and select PE locks Link  send them in morning or PE time, please not at lunch.
